Our Friday started with two new project members joining us at breakfast, Rebekah and Miguel. Rebekah Davis got the 2024 UAH-MKTP fellowship to participate for the first time in the expedition and shall contribute to the management, documentation, and study of the findings produced in the tomb of Djari in the last seasons. In contrast, Miguel López –a well-experienced stone specialist– has joined us once more to continue with his examination of the tomb structure and support its restoration. Both will start tomorrow Saturday their participation in the 2025 season.
As Friday is the day off in Egypt, the members of the project took the opportunity to rest a bit, stroll around the nearby areas, and sort out their rooms. In reality, though, everyone ended up preparing materials, organizing plans, and considering the workload that awaits us in the coming week. It really didn’t feel like a day off!
